Lynne Mitchell Foundation Launches Journeys of a Lifetime Online Store

Selling Vacation Dreams to Fund Education Dreams


 



Growing up in Jamaica today, many students dream of pursuing higher education, and building a brighter future for themselves and their families. Yet, for many, access to higher education remains an elusive dream, hindered by financial barriers and lack of opportunity.


Enter the Lynne Mitchell Foundation Aspire Scholarship Fund, an initiative born out of a desire to break these barriers and open doors for talented, underserved Jamaican students. Our founders, Charles and Marlene Gordon, who themselves were shaped by the values of hard work, community, and education in Jamaica, know firsthand how much potential exists in these students. What is missing, however, is the financial support needed to help them realize their dreams.


To raise funds for these scholarships, we created something special—something that would not only raise money but also connect donors to the beauty, culture, and adventure of both Jamaica and the world beyond. Thus, the “Journeys of a Lifetime" Online Store was conceived to offer exclusive vacation packages to some of the world’s most sought-after destinations 


Each vacation package was meticulously curated to offer unique experiences, from a tropical retreat in Jamaica to a safari in South Africa, the lava rich trails and hot springs of Central America, luxurious European escapes, a trek to Machu Picchu in Peru, the Kentucky Derby and VIP tickets to an English, Spanish or Italian soccer game, to name a few. But what makes these vacations truly special is their connection to education. Every package purchased helps to transform the life of a Jamaican student, whether from the bustling streets of Kingston to the quiet rural towns of Jamaica.

Our goal is to raise $50,000 to fund educational scholarships and your participation will help us to continue to invest in the futures of bright young minds who might otherwise never have the chance to pursue their dreams.  Through your purchase, you represent a symbol of hope and demonstrate the power of community to transform lives through the gift of education.
