Capital Campaign
Since October 1, 1959, Seaview Primary School has served the local children and families in Round Hill and the surrounding areas, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica by providing elementary school education. The school is home to roughly 170 students between 4 – 13 years of age and all of low socio-economic backgrounds. The overall infrastructure of the school is in poor condition with makeshift classrooms separated by chalkboards and noise interference that diminishes the teaching-learning process. The students at Seaview do not have a cafeteria, access to library books, computers or even basic school supplies. On September 27, 2014, we kicked off a $500,000 Capital Campaign to build a new school building at Seaview Primary School to replace the current structure that fails to meet the needs of the students and teachers. Our goal is to build a new school with 8 new real classrooms (2 for the Pre-K students; and 6 classrooms for students in grades 1 through 6). We also want to provide the students with proper desks and chairs, a library and computer lab, a renovated kitchen for the preparation of school lunches, and upgrades to the existing structure to make room for a cafeteria and multi-function room, a principal's office, teacher's lounge, and bathrooms for the students and teachers.
We need your help in making this vision a reality! Donations, large and small, are critical for the construction of a new school building. Donate Today!
